Guidelines for the use of organoids
Publication by a consortium with our Fellow Silvia Cappello

Our Fellow and former Research Group Leader Silvia Cappello and her colleagues from the neural organoid field were convinced that regulatory standards urgently needed to be developed for the use of such organoids: “… there is an emergent need for guidance and advice on designing, conducting and reporting experiments to increase the reproducibility and utility of these models”. Recently, the consortium published a framework for the experimental process in order to secure rigorous experimental designs, transparent methodologies and data sharing.
Cerebral organoids and IPSC-derived human models are being used more and more at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry. This makes it all the more important for the Institute´s scientists to be able to refer to these guidelines.
