Nadine Gogolla elected EMBO member

Nadine Gogolla, neurobiologist and director of the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry, has been elected as one of 120 scientists from across Europe and beyond to the EMBO Membership, an honour that celebrates research excellence and outstanding achievements in the life sciences. EMBO membership honours distinguished scientists who have made outstanding contributions to the life sciences, including 92 Nobel Laureates who have/have held EMBO membership.

EMBO is an international organisation of life scientists, which has more than 2000 members, elected by peers. EMBO's major goals are to support talented researchers at all stages of their careers, stimulate the exchange of scientific information, and help build a European research environment where scientists can achieve their best work. EMBO directs funding from its member states towards research fellowships, courses, workshops, conferences, and science policy initiatives, and also has a stable of prestigious journals.
