Nutritional Counseling and Therapy
Our nutritional counseling, nutritional therapy and diabetes counseling are available to our inpatients, day clinic patients and outpatients.
We provide individualized counseling on nutrition and diabetes for patients with psychiatric disorders
- Advice on metabolic diseases (e.g. high cholesterol, gout, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, etc.), hormonal diseases (e.g. Hashimoto’s disease or thyroid dysfunction), food intolerances (e.g. lactose intolerance or fructose malabsorption) and eating disorders
- One-on-one advice for Diabetes Mellitus Type I or II, preparation for pregnancy (optimal metabolism) as well as care for pregnant women with endocrine diseases
- Special diets in the context of psychopharmacotherapy (e.g. low-tyramine diet)
- Individual training in cooking and grocery shopping
Supportive nutritional therapy "Strong and Fit" for weight loss, in cooperation with our physiotherapy department
This is available for inpatients and day clinic patients.
Anti-diet group
- Motivation and exchange of experiences among participants
- Dealing with cravings from using psychopharmacotherapy
- Enjoyment training and mindfulness
- Training "What is a normal portion", everyday tips and tricks
- Knowledge transfer (e.g. nutrients, food products, beverages, sweeteners, diets, etc.)
Light cuisine
- Joint preparation of healthy, everyday dishes or menus
- Enjoyment training
- Practical application of lessons learned (e.g. portion sizes)
- Exchange of experiences and promotion of everyday-life skills
Cooking therapy
This is available for inpatients and day clinic patients.
- Preparing and making a menu together, taking into account any possible dietary needs of the individual participants, with the aim of improving everyday-life skills
